Church Coffee Mornings
Our Church coffee mornings are held on the last Saturday in every month with the exception of December. They take place in the Village Hall opposite our church from 10.00am - 12noon.
Admission is only £1 which includes coffee and biscuits and invariably waitress service. At appropriate times of the year we also serve delicious bacon butties, toasted teacakes, mince pies etc. There are various stalls including cakes, bric-a-brac, books, greeting cards and plants.
A raffle is held which proves very popular. Alternately the proceeds go towards Church funds or a nominated charity such as The East Cheshire Hospice. The coffee mornings are very well supported by the wider community and over the years have become very much part of village life.

Social Events
A social events committee was formed in May 2003; the idea being to organise social activities for Prestbury Methodist Church to bring people together in Christian fellowship and as an outreach.
In September 2003 the Faith Lunch (held on the first Monday og each month) began meeting; this has been a great success and has grown in numbers since the start and has been able to welcome non-church members in fellowship.
There have been many successful events and outings including theatre trips. In 2004 we visited the Nantwich Church Flower Festival, and in 2005 the Alstonfield Church flower and Costume Festival and lunch was enjoyed later at the manifold Inn.
Our main event in 2004 was our Jazz Evening & Hot-pot Supper; the proceeds from which were sent to Crossroads and the East Cheshire Hospice.
We hope to continue our outings and fellowship, and any suggestions for future events are always welcome

Resource Library
The Church has recently set up a Resource Library. The intention is to give people an opportunity to share Christian literature with each other, but also hopefully other media, for example, CDs, and videos.
For the present, the resources are kept at the back of the literature table in the porch, and in the meeting room upstairs. There is a simple loan system – feel free to borrow. Contributions of books, tapes, etc for the library are very welcome, particularly materials of interest to children, and young people.

Pews News
Pews News is produced weekly, and provides last minute information about church activities between issues of ‘Contact', given out by the door stewards. An electronic copy is also distributed to those on the e-mail directory.
Volunteers are rota'd on a monthly basis to pull it together

Gift Aid
The church is funded entirely by the giving of members and friends, and fund-raising activities. If you are an income tax payer then the church is able to reclaim (from the inland revenue) the tax which has been paid on your giving, by making a simple declaration. No forward commitment is needed, and in some circumstances the giver can actually save tax. If you do not yet Gift Aid your giving, we strongly commend the benefits to you, and our Gift Aid Secretary would be delighted to make the arrangements.

Contact Magazine
Our church magazine "Contact" is published every month except for a two monthly edition in July/August. It contains a letter from the Minister, details of services and
rotas. There are varied items including reports, prayers, meditative material, thought provoking items, a children's page and not forgetting some humour. It aims to point people to Jesus and the Christian way of life.
The magazine is not only distributed in church but has a wide postal distribution, it is given out at our monthly
coffee mornings and placed in the local hotels, shops and post office.
